How do you guys know what kind of shot or even IF it was a shot that caused the wound? I don't know anyone who would attempt a head shot on a buck.

looks like he hung up on something or was in a fight. those scratches & gouge holes looks like a buck fight. maybe a coyote attempt.

Looks like a missed chest shot with the bullet grazing his side and then penetrating and exiting his hip.

Head shot posters. Not sure how you know this but even if it is and was I would bet most poor shots taken at the haed result in clean misses. I would think the number of deer crippled by poor chest shots is much higher. Obviously, there is no way to know but it is just my feeling on this.

This one was gored by another buck. Probably as he was trying to run away after getting his but kicked. 2 puncture wounds and a scrape down the spine is what I see.

I would be willing to bet he got his tail kicked by another buck. Looks to me as if the main beam point went in one spot and came out another and got ripped open some . Just my two cents .
