I bought an Escort Extreme Magnum semi-auto and couldn't be happier. Haven't had a hiccup with it yet and it feeds 3.5"s with no problem and with very little felt recoil. I wanted the 3.5" option for cranes so I went with the magnum, but you can get the 3" model for $500+ tax at Academy. Just my .02

go with a franchi affinity i have one and love it there is no differnce in the way it shoots the comfort tech is a $500 joke thats all youre paying for go look at the benelli website and look how much a comfortech replacement stock is and you will see why an m2 is more than double the price with the same technology. youre paying for that stock and the name.It uses the same chokes as a benelli or berreta so they are easy to find.Franchi has been making very high quality guns for a long time. If you are worried about the kick it wont matter because youre used to shooting a pump anyway. Use the extra $700 and put it torwards decoys, blinds, calls. And if you drop it in the mud you wont feel as guilty. I love my brownings but for the value you cant beat the franchi affinity.

I switched from a pump to a semi and bought a Beretta 3901 in camo. I love it, I have shot SBEII, Maxxus, ect. I paid $699 new on gunbroker and $5 for the FFL fee (veteran's discount). I did not need the 3 1/2 inch and could not justify paying more for the other B guns. I like all 3 guns but for the price recommend the Beretta. I did have an issue with it reloading a new shell until I shot a little lubricating oil and it works fine now.

You can't go wrong with a Browning. I have the Maxus and i love it. Also love the invector choke tube system they are very well designed. I have killed many a Duck with this gun and down right crushed geese with it too. If you can shoot this gun will not let you down. I also love the armor grip coating has a great feel to it and the gun wont slip or lose any grip when it is wet from rain snow or water from the dog shaking all over it. This gun is also very easy to maintain keep it clean and it will shoot great everytime you take it out. Felt recoil is very low also with the improved recoil pad and amazing gas system. If your looking for a versatile gun that you can take to the field and kill any number of birds from doves to cranes then this is it. it handles the lightest dove loads you can feed it and also the largest 3 1/2" magnums you can buy.
