The rut is in the lockdown phase right now. bucks wnt leave does sight and the doe will be coming into standing heat soon so they arnt moving much either And the next phase after the lockdown phase is the eating phase right? I think at my place the first rut is over. I saw some mild chasing (a single spike buck) before Thanksgiving and then this past weekend I saw a pack of 7 doe at the feeder and they moved around the property together that morning. There were no bucks chasing the does at all, so I have to imagine at least that pack of does had none in estrous. Maybe catch another mini-rut in about 2 weeks or so...

The rut is over in some areas of Texas, and is just beginning in others. It all depends on where you're located.
