although there where tons of people out my fil braved it and went to Dicks at midnight. Well to shorten the story. Waited in line behind tons of people for a chance at 1 of 5 Remington 700 sps varmint rifles. After watching them tick away one after the other the 5 people ahead of me weren't interested in the calibers they had left. I am now the proud owner of a brand new Remington 700 sps varmint 243 in mossy oak camo. for a whopping 384.65 after taxes! Walked out of there with it tonight. Now Im going to bed. Gonna get up and sight in the scope in the morning. No more strolling the classifieds for a good deal! Just wanted to share. Good night.

i got shafted at dicks in hurst on blackfriday. i skipped dinner to be 1st in line. i was there at 630pm. a security guard told me to wait at the other door on inside of mall. i did. when midnight hit they opened up the other door 1st and let 100 people in before making it to my door. waited in gun line a hour. got to me was filling out paperwork for what was told the last remington 700 in .308 then he came back said nevermind its sold. the store needs to be a little more organised for special events like this. so now i dont get to save $200 because a slow manager. i e-mailed customer service but im sure i will get a corporate responce of its how blackfriday works. 1st in line for nothing

Yeah, i dont think they had any legal right to take the rifle back and certainly no right or power to have a chl revoked.


Edited: though reading through again, it does scream straw purchase.but its up to them to catch that during purchase
