You were obviously on the wrong road, for a small fee I will get you access to the top roads in ETX.

Unless he has ungodly connections, he had to have hunted 198 of the top 200 ranches in the state. I doubt he has hunted the 6666 or the Waggoner, and i would put both in the top 10 ranches in the state for huge bucks. I could be putting my foot in my mouth, but i doubt it.

I also realize this thread is two years old.

You can hunt trophy mule deer in eastern Colorado for two seasons for that kind of coin.

I was lucky enough to hunt the King for two seasons as an employee. I never got to hunt Trophy bucks, but did hunt Nilgai, Turkey, and Management WT. I spent most of my time down on Norias. I can say without exaggeration that it is a landscape like no other I've seen. The sheer size combined with top-level range and game management has resulted in an incredible place for wildlife. It is hard for me to look at the pictures from those years without getting a little depressed.

If you can swing the coin for a Nilgai or WT hunt, go. It is worth doing once just to see the place. You will have as much fun riding around in the high rack as you will hunting. Take a camera.

I've driven through the King headed to Raymondville. Nothing quite like seeing those big deer standing on sand dunes and in Oak mottes. Beautiful.

The main house and birthplace of the Texas Girt Cattle breed is worth seeing either way

I'd make an exception & go hunt the Henrys or Strip though when I finally hit the jackpot on the draws.
