I have 30 people coming by the house tomorrow, starting at around 9 am. A big no go for me.  Shoot a few for me tomorrow morning and Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Lots of birds out here guys. They are coming in waves. Only have 3, but I screwed up one chance, I didn't capitalize on a big flock, and I had skybusters taking poo shots at a pair that were on final approach to my spread. If all things were prefect, I would have my limit. But since it is duck hunting, I'm happy with 3 so far

Was a good one. I guess the scaup counts were right. Holy smokes! First group in was 200 birds. One shot from the 410 with 6s and we had 4 dead scaup. Worked with the boys in identifying drakes   Checked this spot yesterday and there was about 300 divers in an absolute feeding frenzy in about a 30 yard area. I've seen this before and I guess they are feeding on the water fleas. Every decoy was covered.

I think tomorrow will be the day. Rainy and in the 50's in the morning, front coming in tomorrow afternoon. Should have new birds and a good shoot. Can't wait.

I was fortunate to get out this morning. Got setup and in my layout, only thing that came near my decoys was a hawk. Tried to grab one of my decoys and realized he didn't like it and came and sat on the foot of my layout for a moment. Pretty cool moment being able to see one that close up. When I was finally done i ended up with one crane, four Canada's, and one specklebelly. All in all it was a good morning. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
