Any one hunt in Jones? I'm up north of Noodle and going out this afternoon to try my luck, just wanted to see how the deer were moving.

We have a place North of Noodle as well. Will be hunting there next weekend. Not sure how the deer are moving, but cameras show much better antler production this year than last.

I've got a mature buck eating with another buck and also one of him loosely chasing a couple of does. It's still only pre-rut north of Noodle.

Thanks guys. Where is your place located?? I'm south of the HWY 180 and 126 intersection about 3 miles.

I take that country road directly south of the high fence ranch to get to my place. We are pretty close to each other. If you see my buck up there, let him walk for me!! LOL

No joke!! That is the first pic of him in the daytime since august, he has been strictly nocturnal for 3 months. Funny what the ladies will do to a man!

Man I was sitting in the blind today and around 4-415 it sounded like a war zone towards your area JoCo! Were you out there today?

I didnt make it out this weekend but I did go this morning and saw a few nice deer while driving around. I also checked the camera and had one really nice 10 point on it. I will probably try to get out there this afternoon. You see anything good this weekend?

Just a bunch of doe this weekend. I went out this morning and saw a young 10 pointer, a nice management 8 pointer, and then I blasted a coyote that was chasing a doe with her fawn. I'm still not seeing any big mature bucks during the day though, but the last 6 years every single mature I've seen and killed has been after Thanksgiving.

Doc, my daughter took a nice 8 Sunday east of Lake Phantom. He was chasing some does really hard, had his nose to the ground sprinting around all over the place. he did not stop until he was 45 yards from the stand and she clicked the safety off. Neck was more swolen then the one i killed opening weekend.

Awesome, congrats to her!! Do you have any pics of her deer or yours?

I'm glad to hear the bucks are chasing north of Abilene, hopefully this cold will set them into action out at my place. I'm ready to see some noses to the ground and hopefully see that big boy in my pics up above out in the wide open! Definitely my favorite time of the year when the bucks start rutting.

Hunting almost at the 180 and 126 intersection. I don't even get serious about the hunting till after thanksgiving.

Same here Chootum, that area around 180 and 126 is a weird area for deer movement. We've only had one buck killed before Thanksgiving in the past 10 years and he was a 156" 10 point that was rattled out.
