I saw this deer personally. I live just down the road from the processer and pope&young passed me as I was turning into my driveway. As he drove past, all I could see were antlers sticking out. I pulled back onto the highway and went and congratulated pope. I didn't know he was a THFer but very nice fella. This buck has some mass that the picture doesn't do justice. He also lost two kickers....one of which could have been a drop tine. Huge body as well.
His boy was tickled to death. Every time dad touched his deer or combed his hide, his boy did the same thing. He has left a mark alright. Check out their head lamps and scent wafers...a chip off the old block.
It's such a nice deer that when the processer opened up the tailgate, said, "Good God!!" ...and Kevin has been cutting meat for a while now...
