Ramball36 came through again.

Here's my Ranger with the racks he just made. That guy does a fantastic job.

I wanted adjustable rails in front and back to use as gun rests & to hang camo netting. Also, I have something to hold on to while I load my platform feeder.

I doubt the whole rack weighs much more than a couple bags of corn.

Replaced my 86 F1504x4 with this. It goes everywhere I was able to go in the F150 and then some. Working on adding a bed so I can lose the cargo rack and cut down on noise. The cows don't know what to think and a few have charged and chased me through the pasture.

I have a bench seat that mounts up there so when I have enough people I will put that up there. I will put it up there when I am alone too and just park off in the brush after corning a road and see what comes out, I wrap up in a camo blanket and I am gone. Works great for filling feeders. No ladders or anything, just toss all the bags up there and I get to pour the corn down into the feeders, it's great! Lastly, shade lol. Around freer it gets god awful hot and I like the extra shade whether I be driving or sitting. smile Its big but its great!

I like that rig. How does it do in mud and is it 48 volt. Be perfect on my 320

4weight - Thank you. Cart is a 20009 Yamaha Drive 48v. Stock controller dialed up to the highest setting without having to pay Yamaha for the "code". Seems to do the job as I can haul myself, wife, mutt and 3 bags of corn roughly 3 miles to the back of the lease. I hunt in Cherokee, Tx and it's some pretty rough country. 6 mile trip with that weight and it takes about 1.5-2hrs to charge back up to a full charge.

Can't say how it does in the mud. Still waiting for rain in our area.

I've made a couple mods since my original post. I went with a darker color and painted the top. I used one of those aluminum cargo racks from Harbor Freight as my bed to keep the weight down. Painted it black and added a piece of stained plywood so nothing would fall through. Works well.

TDH09,

Looks great. I may have found my cart today and think a trailer as well. Got a sweet deal I believe for a lifted EZGO and big wheels. I will save this thread, I like your mods. My biggest deal is setting up the place to keep this thing. Thanks for sharing. My cart will be white and will need to paint, what paint did you use?

Thanks.

4weight - I used the dark OD green made by Krylon from Ace Hardware. It took 2 1/2 spray cans per coat. Prior to painting, I took one of those abrasive green sponges and sanded the body and top. I used Krylon primer and then painted.

Here is the link to the clay basket. I'd get the mesh basket rather then the basket I purchased. My basket blocks my view sometimes. They didn't offer the mesh for my cart.

Good luck with your build. Post pictures.

Thanks TDH09 for the info. Do you feel like you needed to do the sanding process? Curious. Thanks.

Yes, otherwise the paint will flake off with the slightest bump or branch running down the side. Total sand time with a green brillo pad was 10 mins. Just enough to rough up the smooth finish on your cart. Make sure you wipe it clean prior to painting. I used a towel with a hint of goof-off to clean the surface after I sanded. Paint thinner would work as well.

Thanks to TDH09 for the help with my new GC Hunting Rig. Got a Ezgo TXT 2005 about 3 weeks ago. Gonna have before, during and after pics.

Here we go so far. Waiting for back cargo rack and then roof install. Gotta upgrade the hitch and get camo seat covers. Here it is so far.

My new project. It needs a motor swap but all else is good. I just got the metal to make a removable high rack. Will add bumpers, lights, gun racks and winch.
Oh and I'm thinking about painting it Jeep commando green.

Im a fan of the late 90's and early 2000's 4 runners in a 4cyl 4wd for hunting. There is nowhere they cant go.

Participating in a gun buyback program because you believe the criminals have too many guns is like having yourself castrated because you believe the neighbors have too many kids

This is my rig for creeping around the ranch. Originally called it Project Catorce but now it get's called the Meat Wagon. Great for picking up deer without having to drive a truck in and run everything off.

It started as a $300 pile of junk off Craigslist. Got alot more in it now but was a fun project.

2013 Jeep JK standard (thats important). I stick it in 1st gear let out the clutch and it creaps around nice and quiet. Combine with red spotlights (the $20 special at Academy works best) and you have the perfect Hog hunting rig. Have seen and shot tons of pigs using this method, including a half dozen or so that walked within 30 yards of the jeep while it was running and didn't know we were there.

OK, I'll play...scratch built this one about 12 years ago.
Based on shortened VW beetle IRS chassis - front half from 68 beetle, back half from 71 Super Beetle..with 1776 singleport "tractor torque" motor.
