Model seven in .308. Very light handy little gun that is easy to carry through the woods. Only down Side is since it is so short and so light it is hard to steady for an off hand shot. But one of the main reasons is because I haven't killed anything with it yet

Good call - I was able to take my first deer with my step brothers 30-30 a few months after he passed. We were close and he asked me what a good "all around" rifle was and that's what I told him. Didn't know he bought it before he passed. That was something special - Good luck to you!

For me - I'll be taking my new Stag Mod 7 (6.8mm AR) and I can't wait!
