The boat is complete - well, I hope it is.....

I intended on taking it out for the maiden voyage last Saturday, and never left the ramp because there was a leak. When I got it back home I discovered 2 small holes near the bottom of the transom area, which I am assuming was for a transducer. These may have been siliconed and I removed the silicone during sanding. Either way, they have been plugged with siliconed screws. I hope that is the last thing I have to do because I am ready to use this boat..

Here are the completed pics:

This is a shot of the switch panel I installed so that all of the lights, electronics, etc are on switches

The depth finder was mounted on a bent piece of aluminum

This is a modified cuda clamp to provide a more secure mount for the front hunting seat. I didn't like the feel of putting the base plate directly on the bench seat - it was a little wobbly. So, I got this cuda clamp from cabelas and made some tweaks. This seat is very secure now. May not be the prettiest looking, but most importantly is the security of the seating.

Here is how I mounted the middle seat. I only used 1/2 plywood for the subfloor, so had to add another piece of plywood so that I could use long screws.

The rope on the floor is for the dog. He is only 6 months old and still in training. He likes to jump out of the boat when it is moving slow, so I tethered him to the floor and allow him enough slack to look over the edge, but not be able to jump out. Also you can see the push pole clamped in and the decoy retriever will be next.

Finally, I bought a small cooler and of course could only find a white one - so my wife camo'd it. I think it looks pretty good.

and one more shot of the camo'd out cooler:

pretty slick. You've put a lot of time and effort into that thing. I hope it works well for you. I like the dog tether idea.
