Here is a some pictures of the new deer blind we are building. This will ultimately be put on a 12' tower. Still more to do. Plan is to insulate with 1" foam board, carpet, gun rests, and roof, paint then tower. Tell me all what you think.

Very nice build, envious of those who have the welding equipment. Great looking blind should last a very long time!

Current plan is to insulate with rigid 1" foam (plan to use adhesive to hold in place) and then carpet the walls, ceiling and floor.

Do you all have any other recommendations to insultate?

Also have brand new Deerview windows to install as well.

Thanks for feedback on insulating

The carpet will hold better if you screw it to the frame with self tappers as well as using liquid nails. I take a framing nail and heat it with a torch to melt holes through the carpet before screwing it in, keeps the screw from unraveling the carpet.

Looking great. What type of door did you use? Tower base or ground level?

Our "Plan" is to tip on side, bolt and weld the tower to the bottom. Then pull up with tractor, we will hook to front bucket.....well that is the plan, when we get it done I will post pics or it may end up a ground blind :-)

That is one nice blind! I would'nt even want to know the cost, but then you cant put a price on comfort. I would like to see the finished product.

You might try the rubber floor mats, the kind Tractor Supply sells for horse barns. They are very quiet, durable and insulate very well. Heavy enough so you can lay them in.

Nice blind for sure! heres an idea tho, put in a window/windows that you can see of while standing... I can stay in a blind a lot longer when I can stand up and move around a little and still be able to see

I'm more impressed your wife let you keep that in your yard.
Do you have any finished pics? It looks excellent.
