Sorry Eland and Cody if I got you guys upset, but I would need to see additional photos to believe 161 off that deer. It's just my opinion, and my opinions are always free (and hey, you get what you pay for!!)

They're both "spread" measurements but you can't use both. All I was saying was that maybe he used both. In my original post, I meant to say "tip spread" but was typing on my phone and couldn't see the whole dialog box. After I posted it and saw I missed the word "tip", I didn't think it was worth the trouble of editing it from my phone. I am so sorry for the duress I caused to everyone.

Ladies & Gents
My partner guided this hunt as I am out of town untill Friday. I scored him on the hoof twice and came out to the exact measurements stated above. This deer does not carry alot of mass like most large bucks but has superior length. I have 0 gain for lieing on its size, quite the opposite. Potential hunters see these comments on a buck size that a few folks think is incorrect, they start thinking I'm going to score their deer higher to make a few extra bucks or I don't know how to score a buck.. I am 100% positive of this were score as my partner and I have successfully guided well over 200 hunters in five years, from spikes to 261" giants.
I hope everyone understands and has an awesome season!!!
Right Side
G-1: 5" G-2: 15" G-3: 10" H-1: 4.5" H-2: 3" H-3: 3" H-4: 2.5" Beam: 26"
Left Side
G-1: 4" G-2: 14" G-3: 12" H-1: 4.5" H-2: 3" H-3: 3" H-4: 2.5" Beam: 26"
Kicker: 2.5" Cody, I don't know how my asking for measurements got turned into the post for calling you out....... I was just smiply looking for the numbers because that was a kick A** buck. anyway thanks for putting up the measurments. kt

Look at the left side closest to the camera, then either use the ear as reference or the forehead.... How many ears or forehead lengths can you get out of the g2? Don't forget it curves a little. Pretty easy to get three to three and a half ears pushing it to 14-15 inches. Toss in 26" beams and that's a stud

I don't understand why that's the only picture they would take of a hoss that size. If I shot that, ya'll would get tired of all the pictures I would be posting on here!!!

Great buck, whatever the score.... but when you post scores, someone's gotta gripe, way of life.
i wish Boone and Pope and Crockett and Young had it up the but they don't, so either live with it, or move on... but when someone posts it, it's fair game as long as we are nice..

So anyways, it's called a "main frame 8" but could he enter it into contest as a 8 pt?

So anyways, it's called a "main frame 8" but could he enter it into contest as a 8 pt? No, most have to be slick 8's with no trash or broken points.
