Ok, so my special self got to thinking and I had an idea. Get a five gallon bucket, funnel, and feeder guts and put them together to make a squirrel feeder. Put some sunflower and corn and your set! Except it wasn't actually a five gallon bucket, more like a 2 gallon barrel I have, but they're pretty much the same. And, the squirrels have to come at a certain time if they want to eat anything before the birds do. Pretty good idea right?

I want to bait them in so I can shoot them. Great bait, and worth about 15 cents.

I use a 12" piece of 4"Black PVC pipe with a screw-in cap on one end mounted on a 12" piece of 1x10 cider wood, feeder holds a little more them 5# of sunflower seeds or feed corn, screw it to a tree doesn't take long and you'll have lots of squirrels feeding there,Warning they can eat you out of the house in short order

Pinecone smothered in peanut butter and rolled in sunflower seeds/bird seed. Works like a champ.

Is this a high fence or low fence squirrel lease? Are you looking for a trophy-caliber squirrel or are you just a meat hunter?

I'll kill any squirrel that walks. All low fence of course wink. I'm going to have a hell of a time refilling the pine cone. What did y'all think about my feeder idea?

Every feeder I own seems to be a combo squirrel/coon feeder.

I'm wanting a hunt for sure, I can trap them but hunting them is something I hardly do.

For a squirrel feeder just get some chicken wire. Shape it into a basket. Use fince staples to attatch it to the side of a tree with top open. Put dryed ears of corn in it and then staple the top closed. That will keep them ocupied for weeks. Put it where you see it to make shots. Then all you need to do is make the gravy.

Thanks. I like to squirrel hunt so I dont mind having them around. The more the better for me. I you realy want to boost you squirrel population and do some management make some of these tire nesting dens to go around your feeders.
