I've used the same G5 to take 3 deer over the last two seasons. Easy to resharpen and they fly just like my field points.

I am a fixed blade fan, Slick Tricks for me. They fly just like my field points. I have been at this game for 32 years and just love them. They are the finest fixed blade I have ever shot. 80 yards is the farthest any deer I have shot has made it. Most have died insight. I understand the mechanicals may leave a more impressive wound but I dont understand shooting something that even has a 1% chance of failing. Too many stories of mechanical failure for me to even consider shooting one at a deer.
Let'em grow old

I agree with rtp, a fixed blade broadhead has 0 chance of failing to open up.

Fixed blade here. I like slick tricks and muzzys.

i don't think anything can outperform a rage broad head. if you want the most ethical kill, you will shoot a rage. Warning!! Uncensored. Not for the faint of heart Rage Uncensored Footage

Isn't it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back everything is different.
Nowadays people know the price of everything and the value of nothing.

This was from Muzzy Phantom 100g at 21 yards. Worked just fine for me. Why fool with mechanical when fixed work so well?

I don't really understand all the passion about Rage. Methinks it's just guys buying into/parroting the "over the top" nature of their advertising. If you like them,fine- but all this cheerleading over a broadhead is silly.
I have been using G5 Montecs and like them fine. Muzzys before that. Liked them fine too.
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

Anybody shooting NAP Thunderheads?
I shot them for years and had good luck with them on my compound bow, (shot as well as field tips and to the same point of aim as field tips), but my new crossbow doesnt seem to like them as well....

I used to, they served me well. I'm using Slick Tricks & NAP crossfire b/c I like the shorter broadheads for balance similar to field points.

when you use a rage broadhead, do you ever practice shoot with them or do you just unscrew your field tips and screw em on and get in your tree stand
