Maybe he can sense your contempt at his choice of weapon.

Nah...its more embaressment and anger when I explain they have to pay for wounding the same as killing.

I guess a 30 caliber bullet shot out of an AR isn't as acurrate as one shot from a Remington SPS 308? Or I doesn't have the same kinetic energy?

I don't have one and I will never buy a suppressor.
I'm 65 and I've hunted all my life since I was old enough to hold and shoot a rifle, and I've shot many, many rounds including time in the military and my hearing is pretty good in my opinion but I do have ringing in the ears and it's probably, and more than likely contributed by all the abuse.
I say why should it bother anyone that they hunt with one?
It's called freedom folks or have we forgotten what that word means? We also are fighting those who want to take away our rights and they love when they read comments like those made here that appose anyone wanting to exercise that freedom.
Those who don't like it, I say get over it, and it's none of your business what I are anyone else prefers to use as long as it's legal, and it's legal. Did it cost you anything for someone to use one? Or did I miss something?

Anyway I'm off my soap box so carry on!

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Jimbo, very well said an exactly my thoughts. I am just glad I am a sniper now that I shoot suppressed!!! Got to get a patch to go with that one!!!

To each their own guys and if it increases the hunting industry and we get more involved then I am all for it!

Shhhhhhhh better to be quiet than remove all doubt..

I agree with your freedom comments 100%.

I don't see anyone saying they should be banned. I do see some voicing their opinions of suppressors and their experiences with some of the tacticool crowd. But,this is a hunting forum after all.
Plus this is America. One of the biggest freedoms we have that many have fought and died for is freedom of speech.

A little exercising of that wonderful right all I see happening here.

Suppressors are here to stay and are only getting vastly more popular, gentlemen. Embrace the technology and the increase in gun enthusiasm--it is a good thing for all of us. What is amazing is there are several countries that have no restrictions on ownership like the U.S.

I am planning on looking into one for the lady. She wears plugs when she hunts and has fumbled to get them in a time or two. Missed a shot at a pig once trying to get them on.
