I don't carry no side arm when dove hunting. When I'm around, the snakes carry the side arms.

Personally, I'm like a lady of the night..If I'm packin, someone
is payin...Don't need the extra wgt, and a stick will kill a snake, plus when bird hunting, the shotgun is a 105 Howitzer compared to a handgun..Most folks have never seen any animal shot
w/a handgun..my buddy brings his to the Hog Trap..What I can kill
w/one shot w/a SS 22 short..he shoots 3 to 5 times point blank
w/a much larger cal. handgun..and it mostly p......them off..DD

I ran into one of my new hunters a few years ago during dove season and asked him why he was carrying a pistol. He stated that it was in case he ran into a drug crazed illegal alien walking through the pasture. I thought he was joking but soon learned he wasn't. The other guys in the lease apparently were not impressed because they moved him out the next year.

Just around him. But it is extra scary considering snakes don't have fingers...much less arms in the first place.

I make myself known when I'm in the field. If you've never seen a snake wearing snake boots and carrying a side arm well, it just goes to show, I'm a big presence.

I carry one for hogs...and because I like having it attached to me as much as possible.

Texas is better.
