I could care less about the temps here. We need rain(lots of it) at the beginning of november, followed by an artic front around the 15 of november. Another artic front first week of december, followed by another artic front at the end of december and we are set. Mallards like floods.

As long as it gets here before mid January I'll be happy. Waiting until the end of December for decent numbers to even arrive has gotten really old.....

As long as it gets here before mid January I'll be happy. Waiting until the end of December for decent numbers to even arrive has gotten really old..... No kidding im 40 now!!!

I just called my old man and he qualifies as an old timer, rancher, and farmer.
I asked him what this winter would be like and he told me it will more than likely be cold, probably wet, and we should get a few freezes, maybe one hard freeze in January, possibly some snow in Jan, Feb, or maybe even March.
I asked him how he knew that and he said "well hell boy, that's what happens in winter" ....and THAT'S what a normal winter in Texas is.
