My friend is getting the dipping tanks soon... can't wait. He says it just makes a film (like oil on water) on the top and then you simply dip your gun or part right through the camo film and it sticks to your gun. I will post up once he gets it and has the technique all down. I'm sure he will be wanting to recoop some of his costs... those things are high.

Lone Star in Uvalde is the best I've ever seen. Can do stocks, RangerXP to full size trucks.

Thanks.

I have a browning citori that has been dipped for 4 seasons now, and the only part that is showing any issue at all is where the metal reciever meets the wood stock, there are 3 tiny little chips. I assume that it is from the recoil, but I took a razor knife and trimed it off, it was only about 1/16" long pieces.
I would recommend this process for anyone.

Any idea how much it will cost you to get your gun dipped? I couldn't find that info when I visited their website.
Why the hell should I have to press 1 for English!!??

Go to the website www.tarjac.comI think they can do about anything! The kicker would be paying to ship it to them.

A kayak can be done as long as the tank is big enough. I looked in to getting set up with the tanks myself. What kept me from doing it was the cost of the "licensed" patterns that are so popular. The other basic camo patterns were dirt cheap but to get anything Mossy Oak or the like, it looked like you could have it done somewhere else cheaper. I think Cabela's can send your gun off and have it done and I know Gander Mountain will too. Seems like that $180 price is about standard for a long gun.

Did your buddy ever get the equipment to do this?
