I've read nothing but good things about these places and with the $50 difference on a 2 day hunt I dunno which is better.

Never been to KJO but I've put in many trips to Bug Scuffle. Brian and Debbie are two of the best people around and will help you out as much as possible.
If you go with an open mind to shoot whatever comes in, you'll have plenty of opportunities. I've personally shot a bronze/silver Fallow, hogs and WT doe's. I had one of the biggest axis I've ever seen walk in front of the tree I climbed in. I thought he was coming to the protein feeder and give me a 20 yard shot, but he decided to turn and walk directly away leaving me shaking in the tree.
The best advice I can give, if the wind is wrong....MOVE!!! Do not be afraid to get up in the middle of a cedar, etc but have the wind right.
BTW, the fishing in the ponds is fantastic!!

Ok cool So how much does like the other stuff cost. On their sight it says $275 a day for axis bucks and BB. Bucks only no doe. Anything else? Thanks for replying

There are no "kill fee's", it's a flat rate per day. I'd send them an email to ask what they have available. It's possible they have animals that aren't listed on the website.

So it's just $275 a day? That's a steal deal considering they have/had the world record axis taken at their place

I'm telling you the axis that walked out in front of me was every bit 38" and a buddy of mine had one as big 2 steps away from his shooting lane until the red deer they had on the place ran it off.
Look at the photos in their website and you can see some of the animals. They will let you hunt hogs at night around the feeders.

Dangit, kinda regretting shooting the Nilgai now that I've found this deal I would not be regretting anything. The owners of this ranch are not ignorant. They charge those day rates because I'm sure overall hunter success % is low, especially on the trophies. They are going to make their money one way or another. Fair prices for the opportunity though.

That pricing sounds right. I know they've updated the pictures so I would guess if the pricing had changed they would have updated it.
I sent them an email, if I get a response I'll post it.
Chital, I killed the fallow and a pig at 10 yards.

Absolutely correct!!!! This ranch or any ranch its about scent control, playing the wind correctly and controlling the adrenalin rush before you shoot.

I would send them an email and ask. I remember having opportunties on lots of animals but I usually went with something very specific in mind. So I purposely limited myself to only areas where that species was being seen vs. a stand that was showing the most total activity.

I shoot 70 lbs. I can kill at 50 yards. I'd rather have them at 10.

controlling the adrenalin rush before you shoot when i first started bowhunting i had one of those cheapo hanging stands that you get at academy. i was up about 15 feet in this pine tree in october one moring, i think I was 13 or 14 years old. anyway, it was a slow morning, i was half day dreaming, when I hear the sound of hoofbeats behind me. more than one set. i turn around and see a 6 point, a fork horn chasing a doe...i guess they were gonna tag team her because they were working in unison. the 6 pointer wasnt all that bad of a buck, for whatever reaason, they came from right behind me to about 15 yards in front of me and stopped. i was shaking so hard the metal on the stand started to clang and they looked up and busted me. best rush i've ever had in my life
