Deer season seems a year away. I start my first semester of law school in August. Can't quite see past that yet to deer season. Dove season is shot. I do get 7 weeks between that should turn into about 30 solid hunting days though. Set my bow stands up and filled feeders last weekend. Just have to rely on Dad and cousins to keep em full till early December.

6 weeks till dove season starts. That's enough to hold me over till deer season starts in October. Soooooooooooo yeah I'm ready. It's causing me to lose sleep.

Aww, why don't you guys just rub it in already.

I'm sittin' this one out due to the wife's schooling and our lack of funding. Hopefully this dry spell won't last too long.

I am too. Sat in a stand yesterday evening(tuesday) only saw a blue Heron eating minnows and frogs at the pond. Got out of the stand and was walking to the truck and looked across an open area, there was a pretty 10 pt feeding out by the woodline. He was not past his ears though. Definitely not a shooter. I still got pumped though.

Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it.

Yes, it is mid summer and all we can think about is deer season is getting closer. At least dove season will give us a chance to smell some gunpowder being burned in the field. And maybe kill a few cold ones!

Let'em grow old
