cool man glad it worked out for yall, how far was the hotel frm the ranch. John told me the shack wouldnt be very comfortable but there was a hotel close by. I think i may be able to get down there in a couple weeks im gona have to give him a call after I see what we have going on at work.

Hey guys don k and some others always used to bother me about this
My uncle connected with a bigger, pregnant one...it was across a field and when he put his gun up he realized that he didn't have one in the chamber. After he cocked it and took one behind the shoulder shot it ran at full speed and he emptied the rest of his magazine into it(following my instructions). It took 4 Barnes TTSX 150gr 30-06 bullets and then went down
They skinned it and everything and Mr. Martinez wanted a cow for himself but he didn't have his gun and the others had to go into town for ice and food so me and him went out to find another one but couldn't connect
Afterwards, I wanted to shoot something so I shot at a paper plate with my nephew. Then I saw a rabbit.
By the time I lowered my zoom and got the gun from my nephew who was shooting at the moment, the rabbit had gone.
I went around and saw it again and blew it away
Lessons learned: always have jackets and ThermaCell while hunting
And don't use 64gr soft Points at 35yd on rabbits

Sweet glad y'all got it done and can't wait to see some pics, those are for sure the toughest animals vie ever had a chance to hunt I'm sure my Africa trip will be tougher but I still love to hunt nilgia and I am trying every way I can to get down there and knock a couple down in the next 2 weeks if work allows

congrats, I myself was expecting more gore to the head shot when you said you blew her up but nice shooting and congrats, hopefully i will be able to make it down soon to shoot a bull and cow.

Interesting shot. I think your bullet traveled under the brain case and severed either the first or second vertebrae. DRT without the gore.
