I have used Leupolds for over 40 years and that ugly yellow/pink band on the Trijicons turns me off, damn ugly dont matter how good they are.

dont know, i only owned a trijicon for six days then i took it back to cabellas for a swarovski Can't you turn the fiber dial all the way down to where it's not illuminated?

Can't you turn the fiber dial all the way down to where it's not illuminated? That just turns off the fiber optic & makes the reticle black in the daylight. The tritium takes over in low, & no, light. It is very visible regardless of the fiber optic hood being open, or closed.

I may be wrong, but i dont believe the VX-3 has the latest glass improvements
As to judging scopes the only way to do it is back to back, outside in fading ligbt into darkness over several days with no artificil light present.
That is when the difference becomes apparant.

how many here have tested the VX-R, Accupoint and VX-6 back to back againt S&B, USO and Zeiss Diavari FL?
I have and as muxh as I dig Trijicon, Leupold has done a GREAT job with the above new lines...
