I had and have every intention of cleaning them up and using them. Was just trying to share with others how they arrived and curious if this was the norm.

I have never had any Lapua brass, but I have had norma, nosler, and some hornady brass that I have been very pleased with.
I have a box of norma brass for my 300wby that has 10 mid range loadings through it and has no issuses yet. I neck size them and FL size every 3 loadings or so. I have another box that I really dont know how many times it has been loaded so I just retired them to make me feel better.

I haven't used Lapua yet, but have had great luck with the Nosler and with Norma. And the WW I'm shooting in my 220 is working out real well. My favorite brass has always been Norma, but I'm buying more Nosler these days (223 and 260). Nosler told me that they won't make 220 brass...bummer.
