I found this pic on the 74 Ranch's facebook page. It is a HUGE Kudu they have on the ranch. I've only seen one other Kudu bull this big in the United States and it was from the 777 Ranch. I estimate this bull to be over 60" easily....UNBELIEVABLE!!

Thought you guys might enjoy...

A beast for sure. I wonder what the price tag would be on that big sucker?

That is a great looking bull. I have some that were over 60" and they were on what is now the Mason Mountain Ranch back before TPW got it. I think their best back then was 63" or so if I remember right. I also helping on a hunt in Bandera county when a guy took a 58" bull with a handgun. Another bull was found dead on that same ranch that was 57" a little later after that. Kudu is high on my bucket list to take one day.

Awesome looking animal for sure. I'm gonna bet he falls a little shy of 60, they look bigger than they are when they are wide like that. He's still every bit of 56-58" which is an awesome kudu in anyone's book.

Hmmm....I don't know. He's definitely wide, but he also has good deep curls. My money says he's 60"+ grin

But regardless, he is an AWESOME bull!!

The 58" that was killed that I saw was starting his 4th curl. This one has long curls that start out deep but get shallow quick. I was thinking also he looks short. But I would love to be able to find out! Heck I will about 20 miles from there on Saturday.

This is the only animal I care to take if I ever went to Africa. What would be the cost.....? $30,000. Just curious.

BMD is right.....Kudu here in Texas will cost around $10,000-$15,000. They are much cheaper in Africa (usually $1,200-$2,000)....but obviously there are more costs involved in getting to Africa. If Kudu is truly the ONLY African animal you are interested in....then Texas is a good choice. If you wouldn't mind taking 3-5 other species, Africa is much cheaper.

What a stud. Had a buddy kill a 60 in S. Africa last year, that guy is close. Curls come all the way around and look compressed, which generally boost score.

If I could go to Africa and take a Kudu, a Gemsbuck, and an Impala I'd be a very happy man. Throw in a Lechwe and a Sable, and my bucket list would get very short.

I figured $15,000 for a average bull. This to me seems like an exceptional bull. I figured it would be higher.

I knew Africa is much cheaper trophy fees, but travel, skin dipping, transport, etc...makes the trip very expensive.

I guess I can dream of having the $$$ to hunt one someday!
