Always wanted to take one of those wild cows for some reason. It sounds weird as hell here in the states.

Hello Chris, glad to see you show up.
You wouldn't happen to know a fellow by the name of Danny Messenger would you? lived out by the Lowood area last time I was over.
He was managing a cattle station on the Brisbane river right on the Tai-pan bend.
Right above the lake that supplies most of the water to Brizzy.
I shot a couple stags like yours there, good lord man I hope you are eating them, they are some of the best meat in the world.
Danny had no idea you even could, until I fried him some battered backstrap medium rare.

America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards. Claire Wolfe

Welcome Chris. Been to Brissy a few times myself; also got buddies in Albury and Sydney. Big fan of Bundy rum.

Spent about an hour shootin' the bull with a guy in a bar down in Melbourne. He told me all kinds of stories about hunting exotics on the public land up near the Vic/NSW border.

Hey Chris. Hunted when I spent time in Australia in the mid 90's. Shot a few dingo's with a Rossi .45lc. Also killed a few roos and emus with a Nissan. Ha. hard to miss them sometimes.

I'm returning this year to Bribane and would love to participate. Gun laws there are tough as I remember.

Any hook up would be appreciated. Looking to go June, July & Aug.

Chris-

Welcome to the forum.

Funny thing is I was just talking to one of my mates who picked up some Toohey's and invited me over to watch Rugby league tonight. Good Onya.

I think you really enjoy this forum, it is very insightfull and you will really get some good advice.

Chris, it was hard for me to see your pics, so I edited the display.

Great pics by the way.

Hey, I didn't think you could own firearms in the land down under?

welcome Chris, I was just in Brisbane about a year ago. My wife has to visit Mt. Isa for work every year and I usually tag along. My Mt. Isa friend said the gun regulations are really strict, involves hunting clubs and checking in all guns & ammo. When I was there tried to setup a hunt at least for pigs, but really couldn't find any outfitters in Queensland.

do you have experience with New Zealand Red Stag hunting? I have heard most of the big ranches with big Red Stag are high fence. Do you know of any good low fence places for Red Stag?
