Just go get some claymores, bouncing bettys, and good old fashioned red mist land mines. That'll take care of the problem and your trees will have a very unique red sheen.

Alright...maybe I should clarify...I'm not trying to or conduning the decapitation of some juvenile tresspasser...Lord knows the kids now days are killing themselves off left and right by there own antics. What I was intending was drop some line tire height. That snapping line will scare the mess out of him, even over the whine of his little 100cc engine.

Sorry to those of you who relived horrid accidents you read about or otherwise experienced in the past...decapitation is not a solution...unless we are talking about child molesters and then maybe that is an option.

Sorry for the confusion

Would be amazed at how effective a good stern talking can do with most youngsters. Had several 3 wheelers cutting donuts in our hay meadow once, two of the three sped away, and the 3rd poor misfortunate young man had motor problems. Thought the kid was gonna chit all over himself after he quit crying. Just took a little stern talking and no more destructive shenanigans. All I can say is, we've probably all been there ourselves once (or so) growing up.

anything set out as a trap for this kid regardless of the fact that you were only trying to scare him is foolhardy.
A wire hitting his front tire could cause him to wreck, and if he ends up hurt you are in so much more trouble than you could ever imagine.
If it God forbid actually kills or maims him you are still in Texas my friend, and geting yourself beaten with a piece of pipe by his father, relatives or friends is not out of the question.
Or you could end up shot or knifed.
Really bad things, I mean reeeealy bad things can come about from that kind of thinking.
Don't care how tough you may think you are or how capable, there is always someone sneakier and more violent.
And deliberately hurting someones child puts crosshairs on your forehead. Regardless of the fact that you were only trying to scare him.

Be wise about it, find where he is cutting your fence and keep a check on it, maybe put up some more cameras so that you can get a good enough picture of his face to take to the law.
You will eventually catch him I am certain, and you won't have put yourself into any kind of position for retaliation or just guilt knowing you did hurt or kill him.
And if you ever do catch him in the act and he runs, don't chase him.. if he crashes trying to get away, again it isn't worth it.

I would personally make up about 50 flyers with that picture on it and post it around in about a 5 mile radius of your place in all the bulleting boards in the feed and grocery stores, with about a $500 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
Let his parents find out about it that way and I bet it will put a stop to it right now.

wire, line, whatever..
The intent is still the same and if it causes him to crash and hurt himself your butt is in a sling.

let me guess, your from the city ain't ya? country folks know better than to pull that kind of stuff.
Unless you have a hankerin to get yourself beaten half to death in the local HEB parking lot.

Anything tied for him to hit that would be strong enough for him to notice is also strong enough to cause him to crash.
He crashes and breaks his neck, you my silly friend are looking at murder charges.
With more than enough evidence on this one board to convict your silly azz.
He crashes and breaks his arm, he owns your place.
And you still go to jail.
Do the math, it don't figger.

If your going to fantasize then lay a net trap that swings him up into a tree where you and some of your buddies can flail him with stinging nettle for a while before you send him home with a kick in the pants..
Otherwise posting some reward posters with his pic on it will stop his BS in a heartbeat.

Personally I would take a little time and build a werefeet. Make it to were it throws rocks, roars, and jump around from behind tree to tree.
