Simple solution to all complaints is mutual respect...its a lost art nowadays. When there is a problem speak up and manager needs to manage the problem...well put quote..."Our methods and weapons may vary, but we all share the heartbeat of a hunter." It really is simple but our egos and own selfish reasons often get in the way. I have been on some leases with great folks and some not so great.

New reason to grumble. Someone lost the cue ball last weekend during a drunken stooper.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

New reason to grumble. Someone lost the cue ball last weekend during a drunken stooper. Check the other guys for broken teeth. Someone who was that drunk threw it at someone or thought it was a hard-boiled egg.

My biggest complaint is that I do everything. The other guys are docs and are very busy. They pay their fair share and I could hunt alone more often, but I hate going out alone for the weekend.

After reading through the posts I am shocked that anyone would get on a lease with people they do not know - sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Am I glad I found this post! I'm the hunter ya'll need! I have my own stands, blinds and feeders, as well as camping/cooking equipment... which I share. I have my own guns, with extras, along with bullets and I keep a spare box around. I have no problem checking my feeders and keeping them filled and operating, nor helping out on the lease with gathering fire wood. Don't get into "community stands", I like mine, thats why I bought them. Wife isn't into hunting, though she may come 1-2 weekends, sons on his own, time to spread his wings. Love to deer/duck/dove hunt, not afaraid to work during the off season. Handy with a saw or hammer.... might not be a master carpenter, but won't fall down. All of this AND I don't snore(loud) and I'm availible now! PM if need be
I'd ask him if he's pregnant. He missed a s__tload of periods. I'll take "things that look like a uterus" for $200 Alex.

We complain about ARs, cows and hogs. We share blinds if the owner is not there. I added 2 bags of corn to it seemed to be out. The owner wanted to buy 2 bags to pay me back and I said don't worry about it. Normally, we maintain our own feeders.

A common genesis of dispute that I see and have heard about from many hunters revolves mostly around the usage of "private" vs. "public" blinds and obviously the harvesting of less than 3.5-4.0 year old bucks. I personally think that much of the powderkeg is diffused when you decide that all blinds are "open" for business for anyone to hunt. In my mind and based on my 35+ years of hunting, it's only been prevalent in the last 15+ years of so for there to be so much discussion of "public", "private", "your region", "my region", etc.etc. That stuff in my opinion is self-defeating and sets up a situation for failure as everyone is human and flawed. As far as shooting immature bucks, I do think that hunters should be able to informatively age a deer of at least 3.5 years old on the "hoof"; again my humble opinion.

beer and other drinks with a camp fire and guns.trouble I agree with it all...except the last word A common genesis of dispute that I see and have heard about from many hunters revolves mostly around the usage of "private" vs. "public" blinds and obviously the harvesting of less than 3.5-4.0 year old bucks. We have our "own" blinds that you have to maintain and keep feeding, but if you aren't there, the blind is open for other lease members to hunt.

Txshntr, what's the story on those nice bucks in your signature line. Are any of them South Texas bucks, they sure are nice. Curious.

I've always heard there are some real good ones around San Angelo, how big a place are you hunting? Guess you're protein feeding too.
