Been trying to located a t-bolt in 17HMR or 22mag with no luck locally. I've found a couple on gunbroker.com but have never ordered anything from there. Any have any experience with purchasing firearms from there?
Heard the site referred to "gun broken" a few times so I little hesitant.

I haven't actually purchased a firearm through the site, but I did find one through the site. Twice actually. Each time the firearm was purchased from a store and just called them directly and asked for it at their "buy it now" price. Worked each time for me and didn't have any problems.

I've bought several firearms off the site. Your experience will depend on the seller and my experiences have all been positive.

I have bought one magizine trough gunbroker, no problems at all with that transaction. I bouhgt one rifle from a store that puts a lot of guns on gunbroker but not from the website itself. Check the sellers rating, if it is high I think you can feel pretty safe with placing an order. You mileage may vary though

Its just like any other auction/posting site - will depend on the seller.
I am bidding on a couple things right now.
Have not had issues.
Try to review the seller's status and feedback to get an idea what history they have.

Thanks, I might try finding a store that is selling and give them a call and cut out the site.

I have bought on gunbroker and it is fine but as said just like ebay you have to do some research on who you are buying from.

I've bought two guns off of gunbroker. Checkout the seller first, ask all questions before you bid.
I havent had a problem.

If you use a credit card you have buyers protection to some degree. I buy and sell often and I have had only one problem and it was a non paying bidder. If the seller has good feedback you should be safe but ask for a clearly spelled out return policy.

I've bought and sold quite a lot on Gunbroker over the years. Started out on Ebay then when they stoped allowing guns and ammo went to AuctionArms. Gunbroker eventually "won" the war between the two and is far more heavily used and frequented than AA these days. Never had an issue on there, not one. Like any auction site just refer to the feedback of buyers and sellers - it tells alot but I never hesitate to give someone a chance when they are new and have no or little feedback yet.
These days I usually look to buy and offer for sale guns here first as I like to do FTF when possible - but there are still the times when this forum doesn't present a buyer and the larger community at Gunbroker will.

I've done over 100 transactions on gunbroker, some selling, but the vast majority buying, whether it be guns, or parts, or gun accessories. I buy a lot of older out of production firearms and if I had to wait on a particular firearm to suddenly show up locally I'd become an old man waiting. Gunbroker is wonderful and if a seller has overwhelming positive feedback, buy with confidence.

I've bought several things and have had good experiences. Like others have said, it's like ebay, research the seller. I did buy a shotgun by contacting the store directly and got their gunbroker price which was a lot lower than any other place I could find.
Also a great place to get hard to find parts, custom grips and other cool stuff.

I too have purchased several items and firearms off of Gunbroker. No issues but one, and it was the seller, shortly after he cancelled his account with gunbroker.

I have purchased from individuals, dealers of used firearms, and dealers of new firearms. To date my results have been positve, and many people have gone out of their way to accommodate me. For example, they have insisted on credit card or money order, but when I ask about personal checks they will take the personal check and hold shipment till check clears their bank. Lot better than driving 50+ miles to be stood up for a no-show. My ffl only charges me $20 and there is no tax, so I am happy.

I've sold a few and bought a few. Never a bad experience. For what it's worth, it seems to be the best place to get the best money for your weapon if you're selling. On the flip side, sometimes you can sneak away with a really good deal if you're the buyer. If you sell, just be sure you set your reserve or opening bid where you want it. If you're a buyer, search for your item using misspelled words.
Practice doesn’t make perfect. Practice makes permanent.

Just bought my first rifle off of there. Definately check the sellers ratings and go check the negative feedback. Most of the time if they have good ratings the bad ones will be stupid customers.
Hope this helps.
