Might want to add J.P. Enterprises to your tier one column.

would agree on the addition of JP

Wilson Combat is Tier 1 as far as I am concerned and I have owned JP and Noveske

They do everything right with parts, assembly, finish

Really, at a certain level it's a matter of finding what has the parts and features you like. All of these companies take the time to build them right, don't use cheap parts and have excellent customer service reps

Surprised to see Dal-ton at the bottom of this list. I've read good reviews on their rifles.

Me too. I've had a Del-ton that was just as good as my DPMS.

Some people like to continuously regurgitate the same crap they read on the internet. My Del-Ton shoots great with factory ammunition, and kills it's intended targets (coyote) just as dead as one of the beloved Tier 1's, 2's or 3's. Craziness.

Don't know alot about the "fine details" of AR's yet but I'm learning. I've owned a couple "stock" Ar's, Colt CAR-A3 Elite and a competition 20" HBAR (my dad has both of those now), Bushy Varminter and OA K16. I haven't shot the OA much at all b/c It's already been committed to a trade but the Bushmaster Varminter is awesome. It's very smooth, never had a jam or misfire and shoots sub-moa with any decent ammo I've shot through it and just over moa with bulk ammo. I'm looking at doing my first build so I'm always reading these "discussions".

I have sold them all over the years, with the exception of a couple of the new super duper guns.

I personally own/carry Colts, Bushmasters, and SigM4's and Colt AR15A2's. I have shot thousands of rounds thru Bushmasters and can't find anything wrong with them, except for the polymer crap which really isn't a real bushmaster anyway.

I've had good luck with S&W and DPMS, and Rock River and others,.... Wilson and LaRue are great, but over-priced IMO.

there is only one AR, Armalite, the others are built on or to AR frames.
