My call arrived on Monday and I tried it out Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the car back and forth from work (3 labs in the house go crazy if I blow a duck call at home).
The call is definitely different and has some pros and cons: Pros- the call is very easy to blow, the hardest is actually the basic quack, since the vent is on the side, it took me a while to figure out how to use my finger tip to make the quack vs. my whole hand. The comeback call and all series calls are very easy to blow, especially the feed call.
The whistles are great, I really like the ability to cover the whistle hole and change the tones very easily.
Cons- the call is more expensive than the other calls and whistle that I have combined, but I think the quality is higher, so you get what you pay for on that.
the only other con is that you have to hold it in your hand to operate it, I could put my duck whistle in my mouth and make the teal, mallard drake and widgeon without using my hands.
I am new to duck hunting so will ask some of my more experienced friends to try it and let you know what they think.

I've been watching this thread with mild interest... Seems like a nice call. But, I do wonder how easy it would be to use with gloves on, or freezing hands. How quickly can you get it held right to start blowin', in a rush? I fumble around with my calls as it is and would think having to get my fingers in certain places on the call to make certain noises would be cumbersome, especially with gloves on.
Certainly not bashing the call. Just throwing out some concerns/thoughts that someone might have before dropping a lot of money on one. However, for $40,it might be worth a gamble.

LuckyDucker Thanks for your interest and question. On occasion I use gloves as well and depending on the gloves your wearing you can hinder some tones and cadense even on a traditional hen call, so that is a legitimate concern. Because the "Lock-n-Knock" exhaust port is on the side, I tell my customers, with or without gloves to put the logo up and the exhaust port down on their lanyard which will keep that exhaust port in the correct position when you grab it. It is a very veratile call and easy to operate. The feed call alone can be operated without cupping or squeezing off any air flow! The four whistle calls on the "Lock-n-Knock" will not be affected by gloves. If you have further questions or concerns please contact me! Mark Schulte Wingstopper Duck Calls

Thanks for the offer, but the "Lock-n-Knock" is on sale for $39.99 until the 15th of this month, that is a $20.00 savings. And I feel sending you a call for your opinion would be unfair to the hunters that purchased the call. As for the corks and reeds, the "Lock-n-Knock" does not use them so it sounds like you may save money by buying a new call.
