I would just chain it to a tree or a REALLY good stake in the ground. If you don't chain it or tie it up somehow, I'm sure that pipe would be in the next county by the time the corn was out of it. I'll be putting out my first few next week so this is helpful to me as well.

yes you just lay the pipes on the ground hook a cable or chain to the end and stake it out a few feet. it will take a week or so for the pigs to start messing with the pipes. you can also hook a cow bell so it makes noise. and yes the idea is the pigs have to work to get the corn, it makes them stay around longer
