The wire connections will corrode and loose contact. It sucks but youll need to unplug and clean any wire connectors that got wet.

dwhua. i dont think so. i turned into the construction zone to turn around but i started to sink in the mud so i didnt want to stop. kept making foward progress and then turned to get back on the road as soon as i could. little did i know when i turned this was going to be the end result.

looks like the cab is drowned too. Trans may need to at least be serviced. Kind of depends on how tight everything was and how long it is in the soup...

Hopefully insurance will help...but then you might be on record as the vehicle being flooded...

We've hydro locked motors before also...trick is to dry it out as much as possible before trying to restart it. Suck all water out the cylinders, drain oils, drop pan, clean all watery gunk you see. Pour in a good oil and filter and replace spark plugs. Pray it starts, let it run a bit and change oil again. Granted, the life of your engine is now in question, but sometimes you can get away with it once

That's no fun...

porkysnightmare has some good points on trying to save things. I would go so far as to do the same to the transmission. Does not look like the rear-end got dunked so you are probably OK there. The big issue with this type of mess is the submersion for a period of time.

Remove all interior remove all wire connections and prepare to do battle. Don't think of starting it. Might as well drain the tranny and replace filter and most likely rear main since you're already doing the work.

I would try porkys suggestion first. Will take some time on your part and a full change of oil, but it might save you a grand or two in the long run...
