Does anybody have one of these? Are these any good? A friend of mine has one that he is wanting to trade me. I have never owned a bow or bow hunted but i think it would be fun to try. Any info you guys could pass along about this bow would be greatly appreciated.

For a beginner bow and for the price, they are great bows, IMO. A Fire Flite 33 was my first bow, and what got me into bowhunting. Cabelas used to sell them, but they do not anymore because the bow is no longer made. But, if you look up the bow on google, you can see the reviews from Cabelas. It gets a lot of very good reviews.
I actually just recently bought another off eBay. I wanted a cheap used bow to use for bowfishing, and since I already knew the Fire Flite would last forever, I found a used one and snagged it for a little over 100 bucks. In my first 5 years of bowhunting with that PSE I killed tons of deer, a few turkeys, and countless rabbits, squirrels, raccoons, opossums, armadillos...Anything I could get a good shot at was fair game.
If you get a good deal on it and it is in good condition, you can't really go wrong for a first bow. On the other hand, if you have enough money to get a brand new bow, I would highly recommend the Mathews Mission Craze. I just bought one for my girlfriend and it is awesome. It is the most adjustable bow on the market, is extremely smooth and fast, and you can get one brand new for $299.
But if you are just looking for a good deal, the Fire Flite 33 is it. Its reliable, pretty forgiving, and just an all around good bow considering the price and how old it is.

Thanks MacDaddy for the input. I think I'm gonna go ahead and trade him for it. It will get me started anyway. I guess this way if I lose interest or can't shoot worth a crap I won't be out alot of money. Thanks again!

Shoot it first. Check your arrow grouping. I had a few friends that said accuracy was their only thing. I think they have a short brace height which is usually one of the attributes of a generally inaccurate bow. New strings and good tuning go a long way with short bows. If you have a shorter draw length then it may fit you better. Good luck.
If God didn't want us to eat animals. He wouldn't have made them taste so much like meat!
