260 miles one way from Fort Worth to Dickens. Went alt 6 times this year. Average trip was about 700 miles because Id put between 75 and 100 miles on my truck just at lease! So I figure about 4500 miles this year in driving.

About 165 to the camp I stay at, 18 to my lease (which is back and forth through a weekend a few times) and then 152 from my lease to home. About 2 hours from my front lawn to the lease/camp isn't too bad.

Same thing, except I have to listen to him complain about the sun coming up too soon.

My buddy stuck a 10 pt during bow season, but couldn't ever find him.
We had a lot of big deer on the game cam's. And, we saw some nice 8's. But, nothing was taken.

My hubby and I have 3 regular places:
Dryden, TX - 476 miles, one way San Saba, TX - 284 miles, one way Shelbyville, TX - 240 miles, one way
We just got on the Dryden lease this year, but have had the San Saba lease for 6 years. The Shelbyville place is family property.. nice not to have to pay to hunt there.
The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

Jp I don't go 287 but just a little way. I go Weatherford to Jacksboro to Seymour to Quanah. There I hit 287 to Childress. Most part all back roads and not much traffic. Much easier and faster than 287. Larry
