first off this has NO other intent other than just to see what others feed and why. may be new people here wondering same thing.

Taste of the Wild...because it is good food and the dogs love it. We have a barker spaniel that is picky as all get out and rarely will miss a feeding once we switched her to this. My lab has always ate it...it was what the previous owner was feeding and I just kept with it. When we put the other 2 dogs on it I did go from the yellow 32/18 down to the purple 25/15 formula.

I had to change to a food that had No Wheat, No Corn, No Soy and NO Beef. Daughter's Catahoula has a sensitive stomach. Also can't feed her lamb or she has gas so bad it will clear the house.

Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden.
Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

I feed my dogs a raw diet.... Also feed them Evo about 2 times a week. Cuts down on vet bills and my dogs are extremely healthy with great coats and lots of shine.

Blue buffalo wilderness, started with puppy formula and have since switched to half puppy half duck formula, and will continue duck once the puppy runs out. Dogs love it and has good ingredients.

Was originally on Iams puppy, but the dog itched a lot so I switched to something with no corn.

Was itching from grass or corn?? She still itches a little, but not much at all compared to before...

Do you prepare the raw diet or buy it?

I prepare it myself. I've got an extra freezer in the garage specifically for the dogs! I get scraps from Wal-Mart or a couple different taxidermist in my area.

I used to feed Blue Buffalo Wilderness but it is too expensive and my dog's poop was too loose.

Taste of the Wild is cheaper, dog looks good on it and his waste is solid.

Funny, my dogs are solid as a brick. If I don't scoop it up right away, when I go pick it up with a shovel later in the day it almost clinks the metal of the shovel...

Dogs are a lot like us, my wife can eat mystery meat from a Taqueria all day long and not feel it, but man that stuff rips me up... flush

Merrick's before grain, my dog likes the buffalo and pork flavors more than the chicken. I feed it because his coat is terrible on grain foods and he looses weight on them as well. He won't eat a lot at all and is not food motivated, Merrick's Before Grain has enough protein that the little bit he eats keeps him running. I tried the Wellness CORE and he liked it too, but it was more expensive than the Merrick's. And also Merrick's is made in Texas texas

If it looks good, eat it.

Eukanuba 30/20. Eukanuba spends large sums of money researching and making their foods better. They do not purchase any of the products from overseas (they have long term contracts with reputable companies that provide their ingredients), they have very stringent processes in place to ensure the ingreadients they use meet their criteria and they have many, many experts out in the field providing feedback. For me, dog food isn't a matter of cost, it's a matter of providing the best nurtirition I can for my athletes and peace of mind for me. I'll do without that cheeseburger and beer on Friday night to ensure my dogs get the best they can.

Also, Eukanuba gives a lot of money back to the dog world.

I get it at PetCo. Some PetCo's don't have the pork flavor though. The packaging is black with white lettering and the meat name in red (buffalo) yellow (chicken) purple (pork).

If it looks good, eat it.

someone mentioned costco food is made by diamond. does anyone know who make the sams food exceed. i know a show conformation handler that feeds it and who has english mastiffs and she loves it but not sure if its worth the same card. i currently just have a costco card.
dont know if it is true or not but there is a lady that runs field trials and is a canine nutrionalist and she said the foods that advertise glucosamine and chondroitin are basically a joke because there is only trace amounts of that in the food and not enough to even make a diff but it is more of an advertisemnt ploy

fed dude dog chow for her whole life she is more fit and trim than any Lab I have seen. People always ask what I feed her and they looked surprised when I tell them I also work/play with her EVERY day so I am sure that has more to do with it.
