have a 59 winchester that was bought at HEB and looks and shoots like a brand new gun.... never mounted scope because i just dont think it looks good... my father in law has one just as old with a scope mounted on it and hes taken numerous deer all the way out to 250 yrd.... wouldnt even try a shot like that with open sights cause your not doing any justice to the game u are shooting but with a scope it would be dead.......

I got a Winchester Black Shadow back about 7/8 years ago. Excellent rifle 24 inch barrel mounted a Pine ridge 2x7x30 scope is great on Deer out to 200 yds. I use it as my back up rifle when I hunt.
