Interesting killinNoob, I know how it feels to NOT have any confidence in a weapon. Thats another reason I sent mine back after teal season. I admit, I was a little nervous the first couple times I took it out after that, but now I don't worry about it. She works just fine, and I love the way it shoots.
Hope you get yours squaed away

Hey TreeBass I figure I'll take it to the range during the off season to keep up my shooting skills.
Hopefully it will get better once the bolt assembly breaks-in and mates in the chamber better.
If not I'll ship it back to Stoeger.

In the meantime I'll probably buy an X brand semi 20 gauge and keep the M2000 as a backup.

SECOND TO NONE

I bought the 2K because I wanted an auto for this season but I couldn't make up my mind which I liked better between the Benelli SBEII or the Beretta Xtrema II. (I didn't want to have a $1700 or so regret and the wife said no to me getting one of each ). I am really leaning hard toward the SBE II now but that's a different thread. For the $$ the 2K seemed like a pretty good deal. (It will be if Stoeger can get this misfire issue straightened out.) However, I agree with the other post that you get what you are willing to pay for. Just be sure to have the proper expectations so that you are not disappointed later. Even though the 2K advertises the "Benelli inertia driven operating system" it is definitely not a Benelli.

In any case, I will say that it was very entertaining to watch Treebass pour water out of his 2k after he took it swimming with him. To his credit, he kept on hunting!

When was this that he went swimming? Inquiring minds need to know this stuff.

Slow start today...got up at 05 with thunder, lightning and pouring rain

Waited a bit, and it just was not going to stop, woke up at LST to the sound of a couple shots going off. Overcast and windy

Got out there and jumped a couple teal setting up the deeks, missed the drake, and took the hen... then performed a "swim" test trying to finish up the spread.
Picked up a drake teal, then Aggiehunter and I cut down a spoonie together Aggie picked up the widgeon as it came into the deeks.

DevilDawg picked up his first drake teal then chased another spoonie sending it my way...Mya made an excellent retrieve once I double tapped it

A great day hunting, but the wind was a killer

so now that you have been swimming what would you say is the temp of the water right now.
