Dang it, I wanna get into 3d so bad it is killing me! Do you have to be a member of all these clubs to go shoot the tourneys??
Can you shoot Cowtown for fun when they aren't running tourneys?? I would want to shoot a few rounds before I jumped right into a tournament.

What class do you shoot, Wes??

I have not seen club that you have to be a member to shoot. Most of them make you pay a few bucks more to shoot but you still shoot.

dac6933 is right. I payed $15 today as a non-member. I shoot the hunter class.

I did not do so good today. Scored 180 out of 420 on on 30 targets. This was my first 3D tourny in 10 years.

You can shoot as a non member. Members pay $10 and non members pay $15 for the tournament. Yearly memberships for Cowtown are $55 for the family. If you are a member you can use the range anytime you want. You can get more info at www.cowtownbowmen.com

Wes why dont you put a forum shoot together on a Saturday in Early April. All the varmint tournaments will be over. It doesnt have to be fancy.

My wife and I are buying a place sometime after april, probably in springtown, and I already told her if we get a wooded lot with about an acre or 2, then I am gonna order 10 or so 3d targets and gonna have my only little range that I can set up whenever.
Would be fun!

Why do we need fancy 3d, there should be enough blocks etc we can wing it.

I am new to the metroplex area and have been wanting to get back into the 3-D shoots. Shot out in the west Texas area for 15 plus years until I moved into this area in 2004. Could you please tell me where your club is now shooting and is it ok for newbies to come join the fun at anytime. Look forward to your reply.

Is there anyplace in San Antonio that you can go shoot at a 3-D range? I have only owned a bow for about a year and think it would be fun to try, not in a tournament but just to practice different shots.

If you find out any info about shooting in the SA area let me know. I live in SA as well. I am thinking about joining a club if there is one around. I just want to shoot!! I am pretty new to archery as well. I have only been shooting a couple of years.

I am a proud United States Air Force NCO and I thank all of you for your support!!!

Hey Wes If you ever want to hold 3D tournament I have plenty of land we just need the targets/stands. Caddo Mills is only about 40 miles east of Dallas so the drive is not to bad.

Next spring would work great. Gives me time to accumulate the needed stuff. Hell I might even cook out.
