My dad lives in Celeste and across the street is one of these probably ten thousand acre ranches. He was in his barn Christmas Eve morning (7:30ish) when heard a loud metallic sound. He looked around didn’t see anything, so he went back to work. 30 minutes later he is in loft and sees a 3 inch slash in the roof looks to the other side and what do you know a perfectly round entry hole. Go outside a blind about 400 yards right in line. Just another example of the high caliber douche bags they bring out. And just enough to piss off a qualified marksman. He called the sheriff and made a report. He told them if anything like this happens again that blind would not be standing next season. High fence is just wrong period.

When does hunting season open at Arbuckle Wilderness? That pisses me off.

I came here from N.Y. because of what I thaught was good hunting for deer .I'v been here for 3 months and all I see is people shooting deer under a feeder not hunting. I'm sure there are people that hunt down here but not many. I don't see much of a differance.

There's plenty of things different in Texas than in NY, archer143. Your opinion that "shooting deer under a feeder" is not hunting is just that - an opinion.
Any legal means of taking animals should not come under attack from any hunter, no matter from where they hail.
