Shot this cat at 35 yards with my .22 cal pellet gun. Checkout the forum. There are some other airgun kills on there.

Its slightly more challenging than using firearms. And your shot placement has to be nearly perfect.

If you want challenging, why don't you go after a bobcat with a spoon. That would be challenging, but not very practical.

I would rather a .22 lr with iron sights. And shoot a moving cat at 100 yards with a 9mph cross wind. That's a challenge. Anybody can kill something with a bb gun at 35 yards when the bb is traveling 1500 feet per second.

I'm not sure I see the point. Sounds like a good way to become a human scratching post.

The reson I shot him with the pellet gun is he killed our chickens, but we are kinda in a suburban area and I didnt want to disturbe the neibors with a rifle shot.

I'm not hating. Just seems like it's not enough gun for the job. Since lane said he was in a suburban area I can understand that. Personally the only thing I can think of thats worse than tangling with a bobcat is tangling with a pissed-off bobcat.

Im not hating either, I'm just not real sure i'd have enough cajones to get in close to one and shoot him with one. Its just all in good fun.
