5 Toms and a nice 3.5 year old 8. No High Brows. Going to give it another 1/2 hour. I am beginning to think he is more than just lucky. He might have the smart gene.

They don't get to be that big by being stupid. He is a stud of a buck.

Today was the day! My hunting bud Kevin got him this morning at 7:15am. He is scoring him now. A little over 20" wide, 24" main beam and 10" G-2 and G-3
Brows are 6". Said he has a bullet hole through his G-2, road hunter most likely. No one on our lease has fired a shot at him.

I guess I have nothing to keep me hunting in TX. I will just have to go back up to KS and work on filling my tag up there.

Good buck, congrats to your friend.

That hole in the horn reminds me of a friend that shot his biggest buck in the horns with his first shot, he finally agreed he hit exactly where he was looking, a bit of buck feaver had set in.

I will get some pics from Kevin later on. We are in Palo Pinto county. No particular buck in KS, it will be cold and I will drop an arrow on the first one that trips my trigger 130" plus.

Good Hunting Everyone

Well at least someone on your place got him. But how the heck do you get a bullet hole in an antler. A bullet would just completely knock the antler off. I'm curious to see the pictures.

P.S. Great thread, enjoyed following it.

Mostly about 30 miles E and S of Topeka, KS. Glad you guys enjoyed the thread and I am glad one of us scored on him.

Talk was out in the community, he had been spotted and we were really concerned he might fall victim to a poaching road hunter.

I will post pictures when I get some sent to me. Kevin is on his way to taxidermist.
