There are plenty.of people who shoot 300 inch whitetails every year off ranches and they aren't recognized. Great trophy for a lucky hunter though

Wrong..speak for yourself.

High fence operations (in general) started out as large acreage, somewhat (or fully) retaining the challenge. Fast forward to some of today's small acreage HF operations offering the guaranteed "hunt" of animals previously in a pen. I'm not a hater, I'm a realist. I can see the difference, and my opinion is not causing a divise among hunters. Call it line-drawing, but the defenders of ALL HF operations often choke on defining what they would call a canned shoot (might hit a little close to home...). And I own acreage, and will fight for property rights, but also know it's a misnomer to use the word hunt as it applies to animals in a pen (or previously in a pen).

And the fact that I hunt with a scoped rifle, and not a spear, will make my opinions worthless smile

X2 Well Said.

Fellas, this animal was taken from a 1500 acre ranch, brought to us, put into a 5 acre pen for observation. If you spent this kind of $ you would want to ensue the animal is in good health. It is there for around 7 days, my seller warranted him for 2 weeks, ifi realized him as soon as he got there he get stressed and will die & since he is the wild I'll never know untill it's to late, then I am out the $. This gorgeous animal is as wild as can be, took 4 days to find him on the ranch I got him from, then he was tranquilized and brought to our ranch. You all get why he is in the pen now? If not I understand, some people just don't get it..

Don't feel bad Cody.....some people just never "get it". They have their minds made up before they even say the first word on the subject.

I think high fences have brought about more irrational/stupid arguments than any other hunting-related subject I've ever discussed.

SCI and TGR don't care about fences.

Boone and Crocket club is anti-high fence. Actually it's kind of a shitty deal, because the B&C along with the RMEF is so against high fence they have gone out of there way to sabotage any high fence hunts.

So after reading all of this my conclusion is:
Shooter with the most money will hold all the world records according to SCI and RMEF
Pathetic....
