Anyone have any pics of homemade turkey mounts. I am trying to do one for my son for Christmas, but no idea how. I saw one on the forum, but can't find it again. It was framed in old fence materials and looked great. Any pics would help. Thanks

Here's my first attempt at a turkey mount with my wife's first turkey. Not exactly home made. I got the mount from Cabela's and sanded off the stupid turkey that was burned on the front. It was hard to get the wings symmetrical too. Vicki's turkey mount by Lucky Ducker, on Flickr

That is a cool idea using the shell to mount the beard and spurs.
That wing mount is really nice. Well done.

That's a great Osceola bird- public or private land. I grew up in Orlando and chased those swamp birds for 20 years. I can tell you, hunting Rios in Texas is more fun b/c they gobble all day, but taking a big Osceola tom is a real accomplishment. They are tough to hunt and don't talk nearly as much as other birds once they hit the ground.

You have to love the way Rios talk. One of these days I will chase one of those Osceola birds. Congrats that is a heck of a Osceola
