THIS YEAR WE AREN'T SEEING MUCH AT ALL, OUT OF ABOUT 20 EVE AND 20 MORNING HUNTS I'VE SEEN A TOTAL OF MAYBE 8 DEER
MORE THAN HALF OF THOSE HUNTS I'VE SEEN NOTHING.
NO HOGS ON OUR PLACE, SEEN TURKEY TWICE 15 ONE TIME 27 THE OTHER ALL HENS.
MY OTHER HUNTERS ARE HAVING THE SAME OR WORSE LUCK THAN ME.
SO FAR WE ONLY HAVE 4 DEER DOWN 7 PT, 8PT, AND 2 DOE.
WE'RE IN STEPHENS COUNTY.

JUST FOR REFERENCE WE USUALLY SEE 2 TO 6 DEER PER HUNT IN THE PAST.

I keep pretty good records and this year is down considerable. The bucks are sorted by "Legal - Small", "Illegal", and "Legal - Large". Then antlerless and yearling's. AMs and PMs are each a hunt.

This year my hunters have averaged seeing a buck on each hunt (the chances of which category of buck are equal). It takes two hunts to see a doe. This would be a lot worse if I had not set up 6 tripods to get the hunters where the deer are (which isn't around most of the feeders).

I usually see anywhere from 3 to as many as 17 in a sitting this year in Lamar County.

What gets me is the number of bucks, last year I saw 15+ different bucks, this year I've seen maybe 4.

East Texas - 3 weekends -- nothing, not even a squirrel. Very boring!
