Man you cant get any luck at this big boy!!!
A hunt based on only trophies being taken falls far short of what the ultimate goal should be,time to commune with your inner soul as you share the outdoors with the birds, animals, and fish that live there. -Fred Bear

Hope you guys get a tag on your target buck before I get back.

Dang that suck's. Maybe he is gonna be your Thanksgiving buck! That's the exact same thing I told my wife. lol I have learned alot from my mistakes while pursuing this mature buck. It definitely makes hunting different when you seek only one deer. I will keep you guys posted on the Kansas hunts starting the week of October 30th after I wrap up my FLW championship on Kentucky Lake. Good hunting everyone, remember Stay Calm and Pick the Spot

High Brows has been on the move since mid November he has been witnessed by two hunters. One my buddy Kevin who allowed to hunt my stand the Wednesday before rifle opener shot under him at 25 yds. Tonight I am sitting in one of Kevins rifle stands, the wind was bad for mine. Another hunter had him trot past him at 30 yds without stopping and bed down about 150 yds behind his feeder. It was rifle season but he was after a big boar that had been ransacking his feeder with his crossbow. He was a corn hog but has shifted his attention to the ladies.

Feeder and camera both malfunctioned for the last 11 days. Figured that out when 5pm passed and no feed. Doh!!! Got everything working and headed to another stand close by for the last 40 minutes. Huge aoudad ram dining on corn, he bumped when I got in stand. Small 8 came out about 5:30, squeezed all the light out I could and exited stand. Went to truck and packed up the gun, grabbed the laptop and went to check the camera on the second stand. Doh!!! Highbrows and a doe came in at 6:11 PM. He has frequented this stand 4 times since the 24th. I am going there in the am.

Here is a recent pic. Now you can see why I get so fired up about him. When you see him at 25 yards from a pop up all you can see is antlers.

That deer is an absolute stud. It would kill me to know someone else is out there hunting and might get him while I am at home. Can't wait to see him on the ground
