Big Shucks on Coit rd south of Beltline rd. in Richardson has some real good Catfish, big tender portions, Oyster PoBoys very good also!

Can anybody confirm whether Godken's in Zapata overlooking Falcon Lake is still in business? Ate excellent catfish there about 15+ years ago.

Can't say I have ever had bad "fried" catfish.

But, I don't recommend catfish stew or catfish gumbo - was sick as a dog.

I went to Big Shucks in Richardson last week and the catfish was good like 9 & a stub said. The other food that I saw going out also looked good. The neat thing about the place is that you pay by the "honesty policy". You don't get a bill at your table. When you're done eating, you go to the counter and just tell them what you ate and they ring it up then.

FYI, my dad was an Aggie & that is my sons goal.
I eat at the Green Frog often, Emma is my go to waitress.
Their food is good, but I hope thier Catfish is not tops on your list. I used to have about 8 of their mugs, down to two!

AJ's Fish House in Alba, right on the shore of Lake Fork. Fish, shrimp, frog legs when they have em, baked taters and pecan or peach cobbler for dessert. Their fish is great!

That is a good place that I forgot about also, and I am close! Thanks for the reminder!

Fish Camp in Royce City..joint is out in the country..full bar,live country music on sat nite..bring your gear and bass fish as well on the lake that backs up to the place..great food..

Stacey's Fish Fry in Miller Grove... Between Greenville and Sulphur Springs., about 10 miles south of I-30, buffet style with multiple kinds of shrimp. Fri and Sats only. Great stuff.

The best we have found is Hugh's Catfish Inn south of Livingston in Goodrich. I can't believe nobody has mentioned them. All you can eat for about $10...
