Was the topic EFFECTIVE Range. Is this refering to old style or in-line, Every one has an opinion. Well if your shooting open sights with no sabots or pelletized powder and no scope IMO is 150 yds. tops, If you have a scope then it would be what you have practiced with constanly and feel comfortable with. With not being able to use scopes,sabots or pettet powder in Colorado I limit my shots to 150 at the max. Where most would be around 75 to 125.

I am happy to read some sober statements.
We have here some hunters with ethics and experience.
(And of course we also have some post High school bragsters and dumbsters).

This is just my opinion but the maximum effective range for any ML,no matter what you are shooting,will vary from shooter to shooter.It doesnt matter how far Ole Joe Blow can shoot his.Your maximum effective range is the distance YOU can put EVERY shot in the vitals of the animal you are hunting and no farther.
