Here are my favorites...
Fred's Texas Cafe, Fort Worth - Big Fred Cheeseburger (with Taco Fries on the side, mmmmm) This is the best burger I've had ANYWHERE. It's closest to what I make at home.
And in no particuliar order,
Dairy Land, Jacksboro - Large Double Cheeseburger. I know people love Hurd's but I just don't like it as much as I do Dairy Land. JMO
Burger Xtreme, Rowlett
Twisted Root
Country Burger, Plano
Snuffers, Rockwall
I'll list more as they come to mind.

Has anybody on here tried Goodfriend Beer Garden and Burger House? It's off of Peavy Rd. in Dallas. Saw that it has received some really good reviews on Yelp.

Finally tried 5 guys burgers the other day and was really impressed. Thought it was right up there with Nicky D's in Crowley but then my daughter said it had just been too long since we'd been to Nicky D's. So we went last week and I had the "Chase Burger", a burger topped with bacon, egg and cheese. She was right, Nicky D's is still on top of my list.

Twisted Root in Dallas is amazing.
Johns in Rotan, Fisher Co. is super good, but it just closed down because the owner got caught growing marijuana in her house.

Midland has a tie- Dixie Burger on Big Spring (call ahead and order) Brook's BBQ on East Side of Downtown.
If you get to Brook's early enough, she'll have a few pies- Best i've ever eaten- sometimes you have to eat the pie first, to ensure you get a slice.

Perini's-Buffalo Gap Munchies-Abilene Chris Madrid's-San Antonio Mama's-San Antonio (Bean Burger is awesome). Used to like Little Hipp's in San Antonio until it burned down. Oh yeah, I forgot the Death Burger @ Hondo's in Fredericksburg.

THE BEST CHEESEBURGER IN TEXAS CAME FROM CLIFORNIA ITS CALLED IN-N-OUT...DOUBLE DOUBLE ANIMAL STYLE!!! In-N-Out burger was the biggest let down I've had over food. Tastes like Wendy's, but get to wait in a 35 car line in the drive-thru'. Hubby and I went inside and it was 5 minutes to get to the register and then 10 minutes to get a burger. We coulda gone to Wendy's and even if there was a 5 minute wait for a register we would have gotten the order within one minute or so. Only time I have to wait longer than a minute inside Wendy's if we have to order no fry salt. It is a good fast food burger but NOT worth the wait, in my opinion. You can get the same at Wendy's or pay little more and get better at Whataburger.
If it looks good, eat it.
Rocks are cool, also kittens.
