I've recently found a great cheeseburger at Legends in Jacksonville and Bullard. Legends ranks right up there with Jake's in Dallas as the best Texas burger, IMO.

Wow, cool to see someone from the valley on the first thread I post on.

I love the burgers at lee's pharmacy in Mcallen, and their shakes are soo damn good. I also used to eat there all the time as a kid so its nostalgic and tasty.

I've been to sweet temptations in McAllen and it's good. Never been to lee's before though. Guerras meat market north of Mercedes, tx on 1015 used to make some awesome burgers.

Have to throw one up for Burger House as well. Built one out here as well! Before long I will not have to leave Rockwall at all.....

The Diego Burger at the Starlight Theater in Terlingua is the best burger I have ever had. 1lb of beef, American, Swiss, and pepper-jack cheese, 2 fried eggs, 4 strips of awesome thick sliced bacon, pickles, pickled jalapenos and sauteed onions. All that on a giant homemade sour doe bun. So good.

The Rib Burger I had at the Commissary in Dallas the other day was the greatest thing I have ever eaten... Grass fed angus, braised pork tail, and smoked pork belly... Ice cold Rahr with it and I was happy

Not sure if its the best in Texas, but the Texan Burger at Bar PM in Lubbock is amazing. 1/3 lb with a ton of bacon, REAL cheddar, and BBQ sauce, with fresh cut fries. Best I've had in awhile.

The Ables Springs quick stop cafe on FM 429. Just plain good - and really good after a few rounds of clays at the club/range right near it. Got a liar's table all set up and ready for us...

Might try the Lone Star Burger Bar the next time you're in Franklin. It's caddy corner from the court house (town center), one block off 79. Best burger I've had in a good while.

Stack House Hamburgers on Gaston in Dallas. The secret is the meat they use but I won't tell how they do it.

Greatness!

Agree...burger is pretty good...but every time I go there...the fries and/or rings suck...
